SoA production awarded at ICONA Festival

The short film “Blossom”, by Mariana Pinheiro, a student on the MA in Sound and Image at the School of Arts, won the Audience Award in the Animated Short Films for International Students section of the ICONA - Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival, in Greece. The festival, which ran from December 5 to 8, 2024, aims to present the best animation productions from around the world.

The international festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated short films, contribute to the creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourage dialog between professionals, filmmakers and the public.
