On February 14, School of Arts held the conference “Film Pedagogy: cinema as a field of education”, led by researcher Álvaro Dosil Resende, from the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, as part of a visit to CITAR.
The conference dealt with issues such as cinema and audiovisuals, highlighting their importance among the cultural and artistic manifestations of our time and their ability to generate changes in people's value systems.
We assume that cinema is a general area of education because it meets the conditions of the general areas of education that are included in general education.
In this session, Film Pedagogy as a field of education and film education were defended from a mesoaxiological perspective and in the context of Álvaro Dosil's thesis research work.
On this occasion, it was also proposed to collect data on the educational values of the INSERT projects, the National Film Plan and also around Film Education in Portugal's educational laws.
