
"The Buriti Flower” a film by João Salaviza, guest artist at School of Arts, and Renée Nader Messora, was selected for the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Cannes, one of the most important film events in the world, announced last April 13, in Paris, the selection of films of the section Un Certain Regard, which includes " The Buriti Flower". This year, the competition program has 17 films, including the film by the director duo, João Salaviza and Renée Nader Messora, which was present at the last edition of EA's Porto Summer School on Art & Cinema.
During the festival, several special sessions will take place in which includes the screening of the film "Pictures of Ghosts" by Kleber Mendonça Filho, an artist participating in the 2022 edition of the EA Porto Summer School on Art & Cinema.
