Yohei Yamakado's film "Sailor", which was presented as a work-in-progress at the School of the Arts in 2022, had its world premiere at FID Marseille - Marseille Film Festival, where it was awarded the Georges de Beauregard Prize.
This award was created in honor of the French producer of the Nouvelle Vague, who worked with filmmakers such as Jean-Luc Godard, Agnés Varda, Jacques Démy and Jacques Rozier, and is the second most important of the Festival.
Yohei Yamakado was in artistic residence at the School of Arts at the end of 2019, with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, during which time he prepared a project based on the reading of the homonymous text by Fernando Pessoa.
FID Marseille, dedicated to documentary film, began on July 4 and ended last Sunday, July 9.
