“Estamos no Ar”, Diogo Costa Amarante's first feature film, hit national cinemas on November 7th. After its world premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival, the IndieLisboa Festival and Curtas Vila do Conde, Diogo Costa Amarante's film is now in 16 Portuguese cinemas.
On the day of the premiere, a special screening took place at Cinema Trindade, where the director and cast were present for a conversation moderated by Daniel Ribas, Coordinator of SoA's Master's in Cinema.
Diogo Costa Amarante is a lecturer on the Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Cinema at School of Arts.
Synopsis
Fátima says she doesn't feel anything, but she dreams about the policeman who recently moved in next door. Vítor, her son, secretly wears his neighbor's uniform in the hope that the boy he met online will have feelings for him. Júlia, the grandmother, wants to run away from home to free herself from her husband, but she's tired of running around going nowhere. Everyone believes that the time has come for them to be happy, but what they want seems to dissolve into thin air.
