Science and Technology of the Arts Collection
Open-Access Books Collection published by UCP Press aims to publish manuscripts that form the academic, artistic and practice-based research outputs of the Center. In these volumes, we explore the strategic research lines from our two focus-areas: Cinema & Visual Arts and Sound & New Media Art. Therefore, the collection will focus on the contemporary artistic creation in a multitude of different media, trying to make sense of what artists and artworks are doing in our world. First volume published: "Revolution & Cinema". [+info]

CITAR also published Revista de Artes Decorativas until 2015.
Artistic Research Colletion
Parallel with the School of Arts' exhibition program, an program of editions was developed where it is intended to explore, from each of the exhibition proposals, artistic creation as a relevant research and knowledge practice.
This collection, coordinated by Nuno Crespo, publishes books around contemporary artists and filmmakers and their artistic processes. Most of the books published in this collection follow the artistic residences or exhibitions that took place in the context of artistic research at CITAR and School of Arts.
These editions, always in bilingual Portuguese / English format, are also a way to concretize, from a critical and procedural stand-point, the practice of scientific investigation associated with the exhibition program. In this sense, an edition and distribution partnership was reached with Documenta | Sistema Solar.
Diogo Evangelista: Blind Faith was the inaugural publication of this series of editions, in December 2020.
