School of Arts, Universidade Católica Portuguesa

The School of Arts of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (EA-UCP) and the Centre for Research in Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR) are organising the II Cinema and Education Meeting on 10 July 2024, aimed at primary and secondary school teachers.

The event will be attended by leading figures in film education in Portugal, presenting and discussing ongoing film literacy projects, spread across different programmes, institutions and festivals.

This year, in addition to the meeting on the 10th, there will also be a theoretical and practical training course on the 11th and 12th of July as part of the Insert project, developed by CITAR - Centro de Investigação em Ciência e Tecnologia das Artes. The training will provide an approach to the project's resources centred on the exploration and application of cinematographic concepts in practical and pedagogical exercises and activities.

Registration for the event and the training is free and can be done in two ways:
1) registration for the event only (10 July);
2) registration for all three days (event on 10 July + 2 days of training on 11 and 12 July).
