Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Acquisition of solid knowledge on principles and concepts of biology and ecology, including the deepening of the study of the interactions of different groups of living beings with the inorganic and organic supports of works of art belonging to the historical-artistic heritage and relationship with their conservation and restoration. Acquisition of basic concepts related to different groups of organisms that may be implicated in biodeterioration phenomena, their relationship with the ecosystem and environmental factors as well as their biodeterioration mechanisms. Acquisition of competencies for the classification of biodeterioration types.
