CITAR is preparing to start a series of seminars as part of the PhD Program of Science & Technology of the Arts. The cycle, to be held between February 19 and April 2, is aimed at doctoral students and will bring together speakers from various fields with the aim of promoting a dialogue between doctoral students, CITAR researchers and the research community in general.
The line-up includes Agata Lisiak, Carlos Natálio, Dorothea Von Hantelmann, Helena Barranha, José Alberto Gomes, Kat Austen, Pedro Maia, Susana Viegas and Tiago de Luca. Each session takes place at 18:00, in person or online, and is intended to be an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge and explore various areas of research such as Cinema, Visual Arts, Sound, Music, New Media Art, among others.
The PhD in Science, Technology and the Arts was established with the aim of developing a study program where artists, scientists and researchers from different backgrounds can develop multidisciplinary research in the field of artistic practices. This curriculum explores themes related to the conceptual, creative and technological aspects of the artistic process, as well as its relationship with the fundamental humanities and social sciences.
