Between May 30 and June 1, hundreds of artists will bring to life the new edition of Serralves em Festa, a free event that annually offers 50 consecutive hours of exhibitions, music, dance, street theater, contemporary circus, guided tours, workshops and film screenings.
The Escola das Artes will once again be present at one of the country's biggest cultural events, highlighting the talent and creativity of its students at what is the largest festival of contemporary artistic expression in Portugal and one of the most important in Europe.
This year, Dila Yumurtacı, Inês Leal, Lei, Ricardo Salgado, Tomiris Shyngyssova and Vida Oliveira are presenting their projects throughout Serralves.
For three days, the public will be able to discover ‘Becoming With’ (performance by Dila Yumurtacı), ‘A Garganta que Projetava Homens’ (installation by Inês Leal), ‘Abismo’ (installation by Lei), Supervadios (short film / documentary by Ricardo Salgado), ‘IN BETWEEN / ENTRE’ (interactive installation by Tomiris Shyngyssova) and ‘Abaeté’ (show by Vida Oliveira).
The program is vast and includes hundreds of free activities that will bring together 500 artists of more than 20 nationalities and nearly 100 projects and shows.
