This week, the Appleton Podcast invited Nuno Crespo, Director of School of Arts, to talk to Vera Appleton, Director of Appleton - Associação Cultural. The conversation focused on contemporary art and explored Nuno Crespo's professional career, reflecting on the connection his work shows between academia and artistic practice.
Appleton was founded in 2007 and is a place of experimentation and learning, prepared to receive, promote and present the most diverse contemporary artistic manifestations. In 2020, the Appleton podcast was launched, a talk show that aims to “give a voice” to all kinds of agents in the Portuguese artistic system.

The podcast can take the form of a conversation with one guest, a conversation with more than one guest, a monologue, whatever the circumstances dictate. The subjects also vary depending on the guest and the context. The 152nd episode of this program, with Nuno Crespo, is entitled “Life is Art's Friend”.
