On 6th and 7th June, Cinema Batalha will host the "New Encounters of Portuguese Cinema", an event that promotes debate around national cinema. The initiative counts with the participation of Carlos Natálio, professor of Cinema at EA, and sub-commissioner of the Education area of Novos Encontros.

The program includes four debate panels led by guest researchers - Education (Carlos Natálio), Production (Mariana Liz), Criticism (José Bértolo) and Distribution and Exhibition (Paulo Cunha).

This event dedicated to Cinema will bring together several representatives of the national film industry, from directors to established filmmakers, film club members, writers and journalists.

On June 6, at 10h30, Carlos Natálio will present the conclusions of his research and then moderate a panel with guests such as João Rodrigues - Filhos de Lumiére, João Mário Grilo, Lubanzadyo Mpemba - UNA - União Negra das Artes, Manuel Guerra, Miguel Dias - Curtas Vila do Conde, and Sílvia Bereny.
