On April 28 and 29, the Escola das Artes of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa will host La Fe, La Espera, a multimedia installation by José Manuel Ruiz, developed as part of an artist residency.

The installation stems from an obsessive image—a chamfered opening, an architectural element historically associated with both defensive and spiritual functions, commonly found in cathedrals. This visual motif serves as the foundation for an immersive creation that blends sound, light, and presence.

Activated in real time by the artist himself, La Fe, La Espera features a key sound component: four live sessions with synthesizer, creating unique moments for the public to experience the work. The activations will take place on both days of the event, at 12:00 and 18:00.
