The short film The Bird Inside, directed by Laura Anahory (Master’s in Sound and Image – Animation from the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Portugal), was screened this week in La Cinef, the official section of the Cannes Film Festival dedicated to showcasing new talents in international cinema.

The Bird Inside was the only Portuguese film selected for this competition, where it competed alongside works from some of the world’s most renowned film schools, such as La Fémis (France), the National Film and Television School (UK), ESCAC (Barcelona), and NYU Tisch School of the Arts (USA).

The film, currently distributed by Agência da Curta-Metragem, will now continue its national and international journey through various film festivals.
