The new academic year kicked off last Thursday, September 7, at the School of Arts, with a warm welcome for the new undergraduate students, who took part in welcome sessions accompanied by their families.

The students were welcomed by the School of Arts Management, the Course Coordinators and representatives of the support services, in a session dedicated to each course, in which the essential information for the start of the academic year was passed on and the students' doubts and concerns were clarified.

The sessions were attended by the coordinators of the three degrees, Pedro Alves (Cinema), Cristina Sá (Sound and Image) and Carla Felizardo (Conservation and Restoration), as well as by Nuno Crespo, Director of the School of Arts, André Baltazar, Vice-Director of EA, Maria Coutinho, President of the Pedagogical Council, Joana Sampaio Silva, Student Care, and Maria Miguel, President of the Students' Association.

At the end, the students and their families took part in the general session to welcome the new students of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto, which was attended by Isabel Braga da Cruz, President of Católica Porto. At this session, which took place in the Ilídio Pinho Auditorium, merit diplomas were also handed out to the students who are now starting their first year of their degree.
