20 FEB | Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida

Thursday, February 20, 2025 - 10:08

Iniciamos hoje, pelas 18:30, no Auditório Ilídio Pinho, a primeira conferência do nosso programa O Estrangeiro, com a participação da escritora Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida.

Djaimilia is also part of the curatorial team for our annual program of concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and performances, alongside Daniel Ribas, Nuno Crespo, and João Alberto Gomes.

Todas as noites, no escuro (Every Night, in the Dark) is the title the writer has given to this conference, drawing from her return to Lisbon after 16 years, where she grapples with the past, the present, and the changes between new and old neighborhoods.

The Stranger and Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida invite us to confront the resistant nature of the arrival of the foreigner, the stranger—the way it unsettles us and what it brings.
