By the end of the curricular unit, students should be able to:
a) Acquire knowledge of the analytical methodology used in the scientific study of works of art and cultural goods.
b) Acquire the fundamentals behind the analytical techniques used to identify and characterise the materials that make up cultural and artistic goods.
c) Acquiring knowledge of the applicability and potential of each technique, the complementarity between the various analytical techniques and the advantages and disadvantages associated with each technique.
d) Acquiring skills in interpreting analytical results.
