This session will have the participation of professors Azeredo Lopes (FD) and Mariana Barbosa (FEP), specialists in International Law and Human Rights, respectively, who will hold a short debate at the end.

Mariana Barbosa
Mariana Reis Barbosa is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has dedicated her teaching, research, and intervention activities to the field of Peace Psychology and Human Rights. She is the Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Education and Psychology and the Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Human Rights at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is a member of the Board of the Heroic Imagination Project, coordinating it in Portugal. She is the mental health coordinator for Waves in You - surf therapy for vulnerable populations. She has been the national coordinator for several international projects funded by the European Commission (e.g., Safe Zone - Empowering coaches and trainers in sports to prevent youth radicalization and violent extremism). She has worked as a consultant for the United Nations Development Program in Angola. She was the founder and field coordinator of the volunteer program ‘Refugee Support Platform @ Front Line’ in Lesvos, Greece.
