MASTERCLASS POSTPONED

Sylvie Saerens will present the work and legacy of Charles-Émile Reynaud, a pioneering figure in the history of cinema and animation. A French inventor and filmmaker, Émile Reynaud was responsible, from 1892 onwards, for organizing the first animated screenings on screen before an audience. His contribution proved fundamental to the development of cinematic language, introducing innovative techniques in animation and the creation of moving images without the use of a film camera.

Organized by the School of Arts and Casa da Animação.
