The company Opus Instruments, a brand specializing in imaging solutions for the conservation of works of art, has donated an Osiris camera, which has been a world reference in infrared reflectography (IRR), to the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University. These cameras are used at the forefront of the analysis and investigation of works of art and are widely used in projects such as the study of underlying layers of paintings and the documentation of works of art during restoration processes.
The donation was made under the scientific sponsorship program promoted by the FCT and the equipment was delivered last Tuesday, December 10.
