“Revolution & Cinema": CITAR launches first volume of scientific book collection

In collaboration with UCP Press, CITAR has just launched the first volume of The Science and Technology of the Arts Collection. This is a collection of scientific books that aims to accompany two of the center's main lines of research - Cinema & Visual Arts and Sound & New Media Art - dialoguing with the scientific production of the main events organized by the research unit. This collection is open access, available on the UCP Press Open Books portal.
 

This first volume, “Revolution & Cinema”, edited by Daniel Ribas and Nuno Crespo, brings together a set of reflections aimed at exploring the potential of cinema in its political and revolutionary dimension. This volume features essays by Aldones Silva, Eduardo Prado Cardoso, Isabel Capeloa Gil, João Oliveira Duarte, Matthew Mason, Riccardo Uras and a conversation between Ros Gray and June Givanni.
