Objectives:
a) Provide specific knowledge on the various types of heritage from a comprehensive perspective.
b) To develop students' critical sense in analysing and studying cultural heritage in its various typologies.
c) To provide knowledge on multidisciplinary methodologies for studying and analysing cultural heritage.
d) To consolidate in students the importance of cultural heritage as a reference point for contextualising conservation and restoration work on cultural assets.
e) To understand the problems governing the relationship between Heritage and Contemporary Creation.
f) Debate the value of artistic interventions that aim to overcome or resolve these problems.
g) Discuss the heritage value of Contemporary Creation.
By the end of the curricular unit, students should be able to:
a) Identify the different types of cultural heritage.
b) Study and analyse the different types of cultural heritage from a multidisciplinary perspective.
c) Relate the contexts of cultural heritage to the epistemological issues of conservation and restoration.
