A total of 20 finalist projects are competing for the Norberto Fernandes Prize 2024, where technology and art meet. The exhibition highlights innovative works, expanding the horizons of artistic expression.
The second exhibition of the Norberto Fernandes Prize, promoted by the Altice Foundation, opens today, October 18. There are 10 artists selected from the Art and Technology category, with works on display at the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações - Casa do Futuro until November 28.
Among the selected artists is Rudolfo Quintas, a student at the Escola das Artes. Bruno José Silva, Carlos Mensil, Cristina Massena, Dalila Gonçalves, Daniel Nave, Gabriel Abrantes, Inês Norton, LealVeileby and Pedro Henriques are the other finalists selected.
Rudolfo Quintas' work, “Sentiment Data Painting - World News 2024”, is a digital painting that reads online news from newspapers around the world and paints according to the sentiment of the news. An artistic investigation through which I propose to discuss the relationship between the media and mental health.
