School of Arts started the school year with a new proposal that promises to bring students closer to national cinema. As of this month, SoA's Cineclub will start a monthly program entirely dedicated to Portuguese cinema, promoting direct dialogue between students and renowned directors.
Each month, a director will present one of his or her films at the Ilídio Pinho Auditorium, followed by a conversation with the students. This format will allow not only the screening of relevant works of Portuguese cinema, but also an in-depth discussion about the work of the guests.
The Cineclub of School of Arts, which already has a rich and diverse program, thus strengthens its role as a platform for disseminating and reflecting on cinema. This new section promises to encourage students' interest in national cinema, stimulating their critical spirit and offering them an opportunity to learn directly from some of the most important names in the seventh art in Portugal.
The initiative is free to enter and kicks off on October 30, at 6.30pm, at the AIP, with the presentation of “Mal Viver” by João Canijo, who will be present after the screening for a chat.+info
