This necessarily happened when the line had to turn on itself in the curvature of a spiral meander line, or in the complicated figure of a labyrinth with a path of circumvolutions: those who danced at the front of the line moved parallel but in the opposite direction to those who came behind. Under the title “Dance of the Labyrinth” Ricardo Jacinto is presenting a new installation in the exhibition gallery of the School of Arts. This is a project in which the ancestral figure of the labyrinth emerges as a design force to guide the relationship between the many bodies and times that will be summoned to its interior. An installation made of the material of many songs, or perhaps a dance to infinite noise.
The opening day will also see the presentation of his second solo album, for cello, electronics, audio feedback and resonant objects.
