Two films produced at the Escola das Artes are on the short list of nominees for the National Animation Award 2023, in the category of Best School Films. "Alberto" by Ana Marta Mendes and Laura Conde and "My house has a lot of windows" by Leonor Faria Henriques, EA Animation alumni, are competing with four other films.

Between October 23 and 29, the presentation sessions for the nominated films, as well as the awards ceremony, will take place in Vila Velha de Ródão and Castelo Branco, during the World Animation Festival.

The prize-giving session coincides with the closing session of the aforementioned event, which will take place on October 28, 2023 in Castelo Branco.

The National Animation Award was created in 2013 as a way of paying tribute to and recognizing the merit and great artistic quality of Portuguese animation authors and entities that use animation cinema as a tool for creation, teaching and the promotion of thought and creativity.
