Last November, the General Assembly of ENCoRE (European Network for Conservation-Restoration Education), a network organization of higher education institutions in the field of conservation and restoration, was held at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.

ENCoRE was founded in 1997 with the aim of promoting research and education in the field of cultural heritage, based on the guidelines and recommendations provided by the E.C.C.O (European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers Organizations) and the Pavia Document of October 1997.

Maria Aguiar, professor and researcher at the School of Arts, took part in the 15th General Assembly of the ENCoRE network on November 23rd and 24th. The School of Arts has been a full member of the European Network for Conservation and Restoration Education (ENCoRE) since 2008.

The European network is now based in Austria and celebrated 25 years of promoting conservation and restoration education by launching its new website.
