On October 14, 21 and 28, at 6pm, the Fonoteca Municipal do Porto (FMP) is promoting the cycle "Sem Fronteiras" (Without Borders), presented by Cândido Lima, a key figure in the sound contemporaneity of an entire century in our country.
Cândido Lima was the creator of three series of television programs for RTP - "Sons e Mitos" (1978), "Fronteiras da Música" (1982) and "No Ventre da Música" (1983). Taking these emblematic creations as a starting point, Cândido Lima presents subjects from multiple circumstances, which will serve as a motto for conversations between various creative actors, looking for music "without borders".
Diogo Tudela, a professor at the School of Arts, is one of the guests in this cycle of musical dialogues, scheduled for October 28. Other guests include Inês Malheiro (on the 14th) and Gustavo Costa (on the 21st).
Each session will feature a presentation by the guest musician, followed by a conversation, with an approach to musical themes, in the style of Cândido Lima's television programs, and a moment of listening to works by the composer.
The sessions are free of charge.
