Central Building Atrium
As part of the annual programme of conferences, concerts, exhibitions and performances, Pedro Barateiro's installation Travelogue will be presented in the Atrium of the Central Building on 29 February, as part of the Serralves Collection's exhibition, Hands on the City: Artistic Investigations in the Urban Environment, on display at the four campuses of the Portuguese Catholic University.
The opening will be followed at 7pm by a performance "How to make a mask" and a talk with the artist in the Ilídio Pinho Auditorium.
PEDRO BARATEIRO
He studied drawing, sculpture, video and writing, complemented by a master's degree at the Malmö Art Academy, Lund University (Sweden) and the Independent Study Programme in Visual Arts at Maumaus - Escola de Artes Visuais (Lisbon).
He has also developed his practice in residencies at Air Antwerpen (Antwerp), Pavillon - Palais de Tokyo (Paris), ISCP (New York), Sítio das Artes, CAM - Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon), Spike Island (Bristol) and Galeria Zé dos Bois (Lisbon).
