In & Out of the Box

The closing exhibition of IN&OUT of the BOX project brings together works created for this project by Catarina Braga, Diana Policarpo, Igor Jesus, João Pedro Amorim and Rui Torres, offering different perspectives on the relationships between artificial intelligence, creativity and technology.
The School of Arts and CITAR are associated with this initiative developed by ICNOVA – NOVA Institute of Communication, which fostered critical reflection on the cultural, social and aesthetic implications of artificial intelligence. The exhibition presents a series of works exploring themes such as authorship, memory, language and technological mediation, contributing to contemporary debates on human creativity and the challenges posed by emerging technologies.

IN&OUT of the BOX is a project of the Communication Institute of Nova University of Lisbon (ICNOVA, UNL), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), taking place in 2025-2026 with the collaboration of the Institute of Social Sciences of UNL (CICS.NOVA), the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL) and the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar (HBK Saar).
