On 12 October, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, a workshop dedicated to creating photorealistic 3D models using mobile devices will take place at Workshop ER007 (Restoration Building).
Participants will have the opportunity to capture and process an object, exploring free tools for this purpose. The session will also address the differences between 3D scanning for visual documentation and models obtained using professional scanners, which are better suited to applications requiring greater precision, such as measurement, reconstruction, CNC manufacturing, and 3D printing.
The workshop will be led by Marius Araújo, Fab Manager at ARTERIALAB, University of Évora. With a background in 3D Animation and Visualisation and a Master’s degree in Design, his work focuses on digital fabrication and 3D scanning, supporting research, creative, and heritage documentation projects.
Bring your mobile phone and come give it a try!
Open to students and teachers, regardless of their level of experience.
