This curricular unit works on the field of visual narrative subjects' relationships with each other and with the other arts, contributing to the insertion of animation and cartoon studies in scientific discourse:
a) Understand the production of Comics in the global Cultural History of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries;
b) Compare and relate comics to other types of artistic production;
c) Analyze hybrid cultural objects, including the artistic and stylistic lines that invoke, incorporate or activate.
d) Understand the relationship between visual narrative and culture;
e) Analyze how visual narratives migrate to animation from different media and what kind of stories they communicate;
f) Explore codes and conventions relevant to animated visual narratives;
g) Describe and demonstrate the understanding of how different social norms are manifested in the narrative in animated films;
h) Develop visual literacy.
