This CU aims to produce an Audiovisual Essay, aiming to develop skills related to narrative, sound design and image post-production. These skills will focus not only on a technical aspect (mastery of software, processes and tools for visual and sound manipulation), but above all on a structured thinking about audiovisual montage.

In this sense, at the end of the semester students should be able to:

Module 1 - Narrative and Montage
a) Understand and apply film narrative theory.
b) Master and apply narrative structures in an audiovisual essay.

Module 2 - Image Montage and Post-Production
c) Understand the cultural value of images and how the montage manipulates this value.
d) Develop a reflection on film directing from an Audiovisual Essay.
e) Understand and apply the specificity and workflow of post-production of an audiovisual product.

Module 3 - Sound Design and Sound Post-Production
f) Understand and master sound design and editing tools.
