The emphasis of the curricular unit lies in a historical and critical contextualization of documentary cinema through its most significant authors, works and cinematographic theories in the history of cinema.

After completing this curricular unit, the student should be able to:

a) Acquire basic knowledge of the history of experimental cinema and historical vanguards.
b) Develop capacities for the criticism and analysis of an experimental work.
