Learning outcomes of lhe curricular unit:

  • ldentify the main reasons for Portuguese files and imports - namely from today's Spain and the Netherlands -, recognising styles and involvement with architecture;
  • Know the main European porcelain factories, namely the different phases of the Vista Alegre factory;
  • Know the reasons, typologies and factories of Portuguese faience;
  • ldentify the different times and schools of glass production, in intemational terms;
  • Know the main glass factories in Portugal and their productions.
  • ldentify and differentiate the marks of the municipal teste, the sharpened ones, the goldsmith marks and the Contrastaria marks;
  • ldentify the origin, evolution of typologies and styles of sacred and profane silver pieces;
  • ldentify the sociological use of jewellery in Portugal;
  • ldentify typologies and omaments in Portuguese jewellery from the proto-historic period to the 20th century;
  • ldentify the Portuguese pewter.
