Ângela Ferreira

She currently lives and works in Lisbon.
She studied sculpture (1983) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Since 2003, she has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
In 2007, she was invited to represent Portugal at the Venice Biennale, Italy. She also participated in the Istanbul Biennale (1999), Turkey; the São Paulo Biennale (2008), Brazil; and the Gothenburg Biennale (2015), Sweden.
In 2015, she won the Novo Banco Photo Prize, Lisbon, Portugal.

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in public and private institutions worldwide, including:
