About the Movie Concert
Rossano and Letícia have been working together for over 10 years and for this performance they will be accompanied by the Supernova Ensemble, under the baton of José Alberto Gomes.
Short films by Letícia Ramos with original music by Rossano Snel will be screened. All the sound material for the films will be made live by Rossano and the Supernova Ensemble. With a single presentation, the project is an unmissable opportunity to witness the convergence of three distinct artists, their creative visions and witness a memorable visual and sound experience.
Rossano Snel
He's a Brazilian artist, pianist, composer and music educator.
His music is influenced by Brazilian rhythms, minimalism, jazz inspirations, a certain melancholy, and electronic music such as techno and ambient. He has been living and working in Berlin since 2016.
In 2020, his song Sunday 23 was released by the prestigious German label Deutsche Grammophon, the year after he made the music for the HBO series Slavery Today.
In 2022, Ableton featured him in one of its Made In Ableton Live YouTube series.
In 2023, he released many singles - including a version of Kraftwerk's Das Model with 3 pianos and an EP called CARBON, which was a very dystopian vision of climate change. He is currently working on his first album.
Rossano is also a film and television composer, and as such has directed more than 20 productions, including feature films, documentaries, animations and short films for HBO, Netflix, Universal Pictures, arte and ZDF.
Supernova Ensemble
Created in 2022, Supernova Ensemble is an artistic collective dedicated to innovative music in the areas of performance, new media and sound arts. With a diverse artistic and musical background (jazz, classical, modern, improvised, experimental, electronic, technological, among others) the group aims to build a world in which new sound ideas flow freely across genres and media, including music, theater, dance, video, electroacoustics, chamber music, sound installations, etc.
The Supernova Ensemble is based in the north of Portugal as an independent artistic project incubated in Circular Associação Cultural's Resident Artist program.
