Bio
João Pedro Rodrigues (Lisbon, 1966) studied at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. After working as an assistant director and editor, he began a career as a director that includes films such as “Congratulations!” (1997), “The Phantom” (2000) “Odete” (2005), “Dying Like a Man” (2009), “The Last Time I Saw Macau” (2012) or “The Ornithologist” (2016). Frequently co-directing with João Rui Guerra da Mata, his films were shown and awarded at important international film festivals such as Cannes or Locarno.
