Fernando Pessoa was the greatest Portuguese writer of the 20th century and H. P. Lovecraft one of the great American authors of Gothic horror (a genre ‘invented’ by Poe, whom Pessoa translated). They are two key figures in the constantly evolving work and feverish creative restlessness of Edgar Pera, who, over two years of obsessive work, has harnessed Artificial Intelligence to serve his inspiration, constructing these Telepathic Letters of his own, (re)inventing a dialogue between the two authors based on their texts, letters and essays, poems and fiction, in a variety of forms that mesmerise us, blazing a new trail for cinema.
