Indielisboa 2026

The School of Arts returns to the official selection of Indielisboa with two films. In 2026, the films produced by the School of Arts will feature in the ‘Novíssimos’ competitive section, dedicated to young filmmakers who are eager to explore the world of cinema – it is the ideal platform for new voices in Portuguese cinema. Indielisboa takes place between 30 April and 10 May.

Búzio - still - Nádia Duarte
"Búzio", directed by Nádia Duarte as part of her second-year project for the Bachelor’s degree in Film, is a five-minute experimental film exploring distorted soundscapes.

Turno da Noite - still - Pedro Cunha
"Night Shift" is Pedro Cunha’s final project for his Bachelor’s degree in Sound and Image. This three-minute animated film tells the story of Lia: a shy girl who works in a convenience store. Although she asked to be transferred to the night shift to avoid serving customers, she discovers that the night-time clientele is even stranger.

In addition to these two films, Indielisboa features several films by alumni of the School of Arts. The ‘Novíssimos’ section includes new films by Maria Moreira and Catarina Gonçalves. Meanwhile, the National Competition features films by Miguel De and Francisco Moura Relvas.
