The objectives of the UC are:

a) Know the research and academic world in Portugal;

b) Have the perception of the scientific character of a work;

c) Be able to identify and prepare a critical review;

d) Master oral expression, realizing the specific techniques of conducting an individual conference and group presentation;

e) Be able to develop an investigation for a specific topic;

f) Master the techniques of bibliographic referencing, especially according to the APA standard;

g) Mastering the internal and external organization of academic work;

h) Know how to make notes to the body of the text;

i) Understand the importance of an adequate review of content and form in a work.
