The full recording of the round table TRANSFORM4EUROPE – Research Based Artistic Practices is now available online. The session took place at the School of Arts of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Moderated by Daniel Ribas (School of Arts), the round table featured Jaana Päeva (EKA – Estonian Academy of Arts), José Alberto Gomes (School of Arts), Virgílio Ferreira (Ci.CLO Cultural Association) and João Laia (Porto Municipal Gallery).
The discussion explored research-based artistic practices as spaces of knowledge production, critical inquiry and societal engagement, highlighting the intersections between artistic creation, academic research and heritage studies. It also reflected on how artistic practices can function as research methodologies in response to contemporary social, cultural and ethical challenges.
Structured as an open and dialogical exchange, the session fostered the sharing of perspectives, methodologies and questions, reinforcing the role of artistic research as a bridge between theory, practice and public engagement within the Transform4Europe framework.
The full video is now available on the School of Arts’ YouTube channel.
