School of the Arts is opening an innovative program next academic year in the field of digital creativity, an area that combines art, technology and innovation, developed in collaboration with two partner institutions.

With a focus on interdisciplinarity, the Digicréa program is offered by a consortium of three European institutions: Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne (France) and University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland).

The two-year Master's program provides interdisciplinary and international training, preparing students for the challenges of the global market.  The program is structured so that students spend a semester at each of the universities, with the location of the final semester of studies being chosen by the student themselves.

The aim of this European master's degree is for students to become the next generation of creators in the various artistic fields, developing multidisciplinary skills in image, sound, music, video, cinema, computer science and digital synthesis.

The first edition of Digicréa had all its places filled, highlighting the growing interest in training courses that combine creativity and technology. 136 applicants were accepted from 16 countries, including Poland, the USA, Colombia, Ukraine, France, Georgia, Taiwan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Mexico, Nigeria and Iran.

For this course, the European Union has funded 16 Erasmus Mundus scholarships and has also guaranteed tuition waivers for the other 7 participants.
