In-Person: Conversation with Susanne S. D. Themlitz Now Available Online

Monday, February 23, 2026 - 12:01
The In-Person talk series returns with the online release of its sixth session, dedicated to artist Susanne S. D. Themlitz, in an ongoing partnership between Galeria Vera Cortês and the School of Arts at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Held in the context of the solo exhibition Natural History,  the conversation brought together Susanne Themlitz and researcher Catarina Rosendo for an in-depth exchange on the imaginary landscapes and hybrid figures that shaped the exhibition. The session reflected on broader questions of perception, fiction, and ambiguity that run through the artist’s practice.

Closing the 2025 cycle, this talk reaffirmed In-Person’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and creating a space for exchange between the art world, academia, and the general public. Based on the gallery’s exhibition programme, the series offers an opportunity to engage with the complexity and dynamics of contemporary artistic practices and their position within the art system, the market, institutions, culture, and politics.

The full conversation is now available on the School of Arts’ YouTube channel.
