The Escola das Artes is once again partnering with Cinanima - International Animated Film Festival, which this year runs from November 13 to 19 and celebrates its 47th anniversary.

For the 2023 edition, the animation festival is holding, in partnership with School of Arts, a masterclass led by Britt Raes, which will take place on November 14, at 3pm, in the Ilídio Pinho Auditorium.

'How did I get to where I am now? From personal experiences to animated cinema' is the title of the masterclass by the Belgian director, illustrator and screenwriter.

"In this masterclass I present an overview of my growing up, my education and the different stages that led to my current career. I didn't grow up in an artistic 'nest', but I've always had a penchant for drawing, arts and crafts. I then had the opportunity to study animation and discover my passion. I got to where I am now with a thirst for experience, a curiosity to meet people, a love of cinema and festivals, a dose of perseverance, a naive ambition and, of course, some luck. I hope my journey can inspire others who are finding their way!", says Britt Raes.
