Phantom of the Paradise is a darkly comic rock musical that blends elements of horror, romance, and satire. The story follows a talented composer named Winslow Leach, who writes a cantata for the rock impresario Swan, the head of Death Records. However, Swan steals Winslow's music, leading the composer into a tragic descent. After being disfigured in a freak accident and wrongfully imprisoned, Winslow escapes and becomes the mysterious Phantom who haunts Swan’s new music venue, The Paradise.
