The main objective of this course is to provide a historical perspective and introduce the main concepts of animation.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
a) Acquire theoretical, aesthetic and technical knowledge of animation.
b) Develop critical thinking in relation to animation.
c) Develop autonomous speculative skills through the creation of a critical text.
d) Recognise, describe and contextualise conceptual, historical and sociological aspects.
e) Frame animation within the evolution of other contemporary art forms.
f) Produce a written document (Short Paper) on a relevant topic.
