Creativity

4 ECTS / Semestral / English, Portuguese

Objectives:

a) To improve understanding of creativity in the individual, group and organisational domains;
b) To provide a climate in which everyone feels free to explore their own creativity;
c) To provide opportunities to develop individual and group creative capacities;
d) Improve decision-making and problem-solving skills.

The student is expected to develop the following competences:

a) Fluency, flexibility and originality of thought/action;
b) Imagination;
c) Tolerance of ambiguity;
d) Openness to what is different;
e) Giving order to chaos;
f) Dealing with complex issues;
g) Ability to create alternatives.

Students who complete the curricular unit will be able to:

a) Understand the concepts of creativity, innovation, critical-creative thinking;
b) Identify characteristics and blockages of the dimensions of creativity - person, process, product and pressure;
c) Identify phases of the creative process;
d) Choose and apply critically.
