Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
1) To understand the chronological alignment of Art History, from Pré-History to the 4th century;
2) To understand, in a generic way, the importance of the historical, political, social, cultural phenomena of each chronological moment, as well as geographical specificities and their impact on the artistic production;
3) To apprehend a diachronic vision of the artistic production that considers influences and exchanges in different locations and timelines;
4) To identify in each block of content the defining characteristics of a particular style or artistic production, to know the main works produced and to point out some of the cultural and artistic innovations;
5) To know the basic terminology related to architectural, stylistic and decorative elements in the indicated chronology;
6) To understand the importance of Art History for Conservation and Restoration.
