The iconographies surrounding attraction and sex have manifested throughout the history of narrative cinema in various forms, whether authentic or a reflection of a point and object with potential for sale. Voyeurism can be perverse, but it is not perversity that determines the value of the artistic object.

What underscores this cycle of three Portuguese films is, simply, a visit to the point of view of popular Portuguese codes surrounding the erotic, which became popularized and, perhaps, reflects on what two telefilms and one feature film reveal about what was or, at least, sounded appealing to popularize in early 20th-century Portugal. All this while Rui Reininho plays a policeman in one of the works.
